The last box in Malaysia's token-fundraising framework just got ticked.
BidNow's $BID token — which raised RM10 million from 469 investors on pitchIN last August in Malaysia's first Token Crowdfunding campaign — has listed on Hata Global and Coinstore. It is the first digital token approved under Malaysia's IEO framework to reach exchange trading.
Why "full circle" is the right phrase
When the SC published its digital asset guidelines in 2020, the promise was a complete lifecycle: raise capital with tokens through a regulated platform, then give investors regulated secondary liquidity. For four years, only the first half existed. The pitchIN–Hata partnership signed in October built the bridge; today, tokens crossed it.
$BID holders get their utility (priority bidding, discounts, loyalty perks on BidNow's auction platform) plus something Malaysian token investors have never had before: a regulated exit.
The honest caveat
One completed raise and one listing make a proof of concept, not a market. The pipeline pitchIN flagged last year has yet to produce a second public campaign. But every capital market in history started with a first deal that worked — and Malaysia's token market now has one.
